Big Telecommunications Company Won't Let Me Sleep

I was about to discuss the worst ad campaign ever, but it seems that someone else has beat me to it:

In addition to the above critique's dead-on points, I just want to say how disturbing it is for Alcatel-Lucent to keep hammering home that these poor net-connected people are ALWAYS ON. Just when you think they might go home and read a book or spend quality time with real people, no, they're ALWAYS ON. If only poor Olga could get some sleep, maybe just a few minutes for Pete's sake. Or if only they didn't keep shouting the "ALWAYS ON" in big capital letters, to emphasize that there is no escape from this dystopian future of constant work and no rest. And yes, as the above blog link notes, no multi-national telecommunications giant should ever, ever attempt to use the word "peeps".
